On 8 November, Jon Hutchings was elected the new Torridge District Councillor for Holsworthy in a by-election triggered by the sad death of Ken Carroll.
Jon Hutchings won with 698 votes. John Allen (Independent) came second with 314 votes, and there were 151 votes cast for Christopher Styles-Power (Liberal Democrat), 75 for Tom Hammett (Labour Party). The turnout was 35.04%.
Jon is also currently the Mayor of Holsworthy.
